hey my friends,
ha ha, yesterday was the first day of my dance performance. Well, its a collabaration with shanghai, so singapore girls performed in total 15 items and shanghai girls 8. Yeh, i'm in 3 of the items, In an instant, mystique and grand valse. yeh in the morning i help relieve kelly's babe class from 10 to 11.30. It was kind of awkward at first because there is another lady who came to relieve too, plus she's from china so yeh i got to do the talking. Man, i just don't know how to handle the kids, luckily the other lady is good at kids. phewwww~ She's not very sure of the dances so i stayed on from 11.30to 12.15 with her for another class which is dancing tots, a class with kids at 2 1/2 years old! Ahh, but i left like at 12.14 because i got to meet the rest to go to victoria theatre for my performance. ok, now i must say, the shanghai girls are wow ok. Even though they are young girls about 9 years old, but smiles and flexibility are wonderful! yeh, so we all started smiling, plus all three of my performing items ( and the three only items of the performance ) are on pointe, so we have to really make our smiles natural despite the pain. ha ha, yes the rehearsal before that was alright, after that we had our make up done. The make up is really thick so thick that when you smile, the wrinkled part will still be wrinkled ( get it? ). Stage make up, what do you expect? yeh, i actually can feel my pores breathing after i wipe of the make up. I'm not kidding, its like literally breathing! ha ha, yes. ok the first show was rather bad lah for us seniors. Firstly for 'In an instant', i fell during my chaine. ( for those who don't know what chaine means its a continuous turn on pointe on both legs, ok or ask me) I didn't fall flat on the ground but fall off my pointe, so i stop, but after that i continued. Yes, its bad, because its very obvious, plus i'm the first one to chaine out of the wings. yeh, some others also did some mistake in this item, but at least our ending was fine. Now for mystique, it was better than "In an instant" i feel, because less ppl made mistake and my attitude turn was finally presentable. ha ha, yes i feel that a lot of ppl like 'Mystique' because of the eerieness also and the dance. yeh, i like 'Mystique' too! Now 'grand valse', the ballet piece. Its my best out of the three because i did not make any mistake and i balance ad all so it was good. However some of my friends fell while turning, i hope they are alright. Yes, i think we will do better today. Today is my second and last show for this performance so wish me luck! Oh yes we took a lot of pics and will take somemore today, hopefully i'll put it up on my blog when i get the pics from my friends.
